Project Appleseed

Our events are typically two-day programs that teach the rifle marksmanship skills that were once commonly practiced in America. Our Instructors put in nearly 200 hours of training so they can teach the skills that will one day allow a Rifleman to be accurate out to 500 yards. This distance is known as the traditional “Rifleman’s Quarter Mile” and has been part of America’s marksmanship repertoire since our country’s earliest days.

During breaks, we’ll tell you the true story of the earliest days of our nation, including the detailed events of April 19, 1775. You may be surprised by what you hear.

Whether you’ve never fired a rifle before or you’re already a competitive shooter, no one who comes to a Project Appleseed event ever leaves the same. The new skills, history, and friendships are inspiring and life-changing.

A Very Worthwhile Investment

 

We encourage everyone to pre-register for events so we can plan and staff accordingly.  Allowing us to plan for an appropriate instructor-to-student ratio plays a big part in providing a quality class.  However, we do take walk-on registrations if space is available.

Our pricing, transfer, and cancellation policies were updated in 2017 and again in 2020.

Pricing:  The pricing on this page is current for MOST events.  There are some areas where pricing is a little higher or lower.  Some of our older literature may be outdated. Please refer to this page as a general guide for pricing.

Transfer:  A one-time transfer to another event can be requested in the event of an emergency or work related issues. Requests for transfer must be made at least 48 hours before an event begins. There is a $5.00 transfer fee. To request a transfer contact us on the contact page.

Cancellations:  Tickets are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled.  If the event is cancelled, we will notify you immediately and offer you an opportunity to transfer your ticket or receive a refund.

As of 2017, we discontinued free tickets.  In the past, more than 60% of the free tickets we provided went unused, which kept people on our waiting lists from attending their desired events.

* An additional range fee may be required at some locations

Please Note: An additional range fee may be required for all shooters at some locations.  This fee is collected at the event for the range.  See specific location information for details and directions.

  • The event information page will list if there will be an additional range fee.

  • Check the information link 48 hours prior to the event for any last minute information.

  • Pre-registration is important. It is important to know this information because Appleseed has to staff events so there is a good student to instructor ratio.

  • NOTE : Online registration ends 24 hours prior to the event, in order to process paperwork. If you miss it, you can still register at the door! You should go to the events registration page the evening before the event to see if the event has tickets available.  If it is fully booked, it is unlikely they will be able to accept walk-on students.
